They are adorable; they are affectionate; they are beautiful – they can be big and brave or small and gentle; they come in many forms, but all in all, they are so very loving and lovable at the same time. Most of all, they are the most loyal and obedient companions a person can ever have. Do you have a pet? Your furry friend is most probably your best friend, which is why it is only right that you give them the utmost care possible!
A dog’s needs can vary for various reasons, from the build of their body to their fur length down to the specific diet they need. A furry friend can come in various shapes and sizes, just like the adorable five dogs and their antics in Yvonne Bronstorph’s book “Dogs With Attitude”!
Yvonne’s written work tells the entertaining life stories of five lovable dogs, namely Tiger, Scrappy, Sammy, Champ, and Bow Wow, who all live in a world believing that they are a soccer player, a bodyguard, a slippery eel, a head hunter, and an army general. Yvonne has created this endearing story with the intent to dedicate it to every furry friend and furry patents out there. and most of all in memory of the numerous precious companions who have done everything for their owners, from loving their human to protecting them to being both a friend and family member; to sum it up they are and or were indeed a priceless ball of sunshine in their person’s life.
A man’s best friend!
Dogs are one of the most amazing blessings a person can have in their life. It doesn’t matter if you got them from an animal shelter, at a pet store, or a gift from a loved one – the moment you met them, your life changed, has it not? With that said, isn’t it time for you to get to know them some more and give them everything you can as their fur parent, too? So let’s get right into it because it’s time for you to learn how to help your dog live a healthy life:
Have your furry friend vaccinated.
In order to prevent or simply reduce the severity of an infectious disease on pets, getting a vaccination for your furry companion is vital. In case you don’t know this yet, unvaccinated puppies are more prone to diseases such as canine parvovirus, hepatitis, and even distemper. Once they have such diseases and are unvaccinated, sadly, more than not, they cannot be saved. So make sure to go to a trusted veterinarian and set your furry friend an appointment for a vaccination routine!
Have your furry friend neutered.
Getting your furry companion desexed or neutered offers numerous health benefits. Female dogs can benefit from this procedure by decreasing their risk of mammary tumors, while male dogs can lessen their risk of prostate disease. Aside from those, neutering a furry friend is a big help in preventing them from roaming around looking for a mate, which can lead to the possibility of them finding themselves in trouble, such as an accident or a fight or, worse, being hit by a vehicle.
Prevent any chances of parasites.
Parasites are common among dogs, and they can most definitely infest your furry friend, too. The most common parasites that can be found in dogs are intestinal worms, fleas, heartworms, and paralysis ticks, which are parasites that attack a furry companion’s nervous system, and this sadly more than often leads to their death. To prevent such tragic events from happening, ask for advice from a veterinarian and follow their instruction to ensure your pet’s safety.
Schedule regular checks at the vet.
Vaccinations, parasite prevention, neuters, remember to implement the fundamentals too, which is scheduling regular veterinary checks. For young dogs, the recommended interval is an annual check-up, while for older dogs, it would be best to have them checked every six months. Your furry friend’s lifespan is not the same as that of us humans, so keep in mind that a lot can change within a year. Most of all, early detection of any issues in your furry companion’s health leads to a better chance of successful health treatment or, at the very least, management.

Most of all, always remember this one, the most important one of all: Love. With the unconditional love that they give to us, your furry best friend deserves the world and more! Dogs are at their happiest when they know and feel that they are part of the family and that the humans around them love them unconditionally. So, as much as possible, include them in as many activities as you can, wherever and whenever it may be.
So, for all the dog lovers out there, it’s time for you to add “Dogs With Attitude” to your reading list. Yvonne Bronstorph’s literary work is surely one that will make your heart burst from the cuteness of the five fur babies who star in this book!
